Representatives at Ohio University Southern will welcome officials from various law enforcement and emergency management agencies throughout Lawrence County and Scioto County on Thursday to provide tours of the southern campus properties.
This effort is part of a series of activities designed to help the southern campus work more effectively in coordinating communication and other aspects related to a collaborative response during a crises or emergency situation.
“We have great partnerships with our local law enforcement agencies and other first responders. Each one of our campus properties and locations has unique characteristics, and this is an opportunity for us to share important information that could be helpful to them during an emergency response situation,” said Adam Riehl, director of facilities management for the southern campus.
The tours begin at 8 a.m. and include the Ohio Horse Park in Franklin Furnace, the Child Development Center in Hanging Rock and the Proctorville Center.
