CHESAPEAKE — Briggs Lawrence County Public Library’s Chesapeake branch will have a Buck-a-Bag Book Sale from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. starting today and going through Saturday.

Purchase a bag for just one dollar and fill it up with books. All proceeds will benefit the Chesapeake library, located at 11054 County Road 1, and Briggs Lawrence County Public Library.

“Thanks to the generosity of members of our community, we’re full,” said Tami Jones, Chesapeake library branch manager, “we have so many books, including well-loved used library books and donated books, that we have no more room on our shelves for new titles.”

The sale features hardcover and paperback books including many popular authors, teen and juvenile fiction and nonfiction books on a variety of subjects.

“Stock up for the beach or try a new author without a big investment,” Jones said.
