Ironton aLive will host a juried artisan festival this fall, and organizers are calling for vendors to register early.

The Heritage Artisan Craft Festival will be Oct. 16-17 in downtown Ironton and vendors must register no later than June 15. Vendor space is $50 per booth.

“Ironton and the Tri-State have long demonstrated a long line of true artisan craftsman talents which is part of its deep rooted Appalachian heritage,” according to a release from Ironton aLive. “ The Heritage Artisans Festival is designed to highlight many of these talents through demonstrations made available to the public during the event, as well as an outlet for individuals to purchase the many crafts produced.”

The festival will be a juried event. Therefore, in order to qualify as an artisan, the artisan must have either been previously juried or meet the qualifications of the event judges.

Details of rules and regulations for the event can be found on the Ironton aLive website, www.irontonalive.com. Local craftsmen are encouraged to join in this event.
