Paul Stapleton

Paul Edward Stapleton, 80, of Ironton, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2015, at home. He was born Jan. 23, 1935, in Hopewell, Kentucky, a son of the late Logan and Virgie Stewart Stapleton.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Robinson Stapleton; one daughter, Carolyn Sue Stapleton; 11 brothers and sisters, Bert, Curtis, Harold, Elmer, Raymond Jay and Kennith Stapleton, Nellie Noble, Betty Littlejohn, Janie Mullins and Shirley Robinson. He is survived by five sons, Rick Stapleton, Dannie (Lela) Stapleton, Roy Dale Stapleton, Michael (Terri) Stapleton and Joseph (Kathy) Stapleton, all of Ironton; two sisters, Edna May Horner of Ironton and Dorothy Mullins of Franklin Furnace; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was a retired operator engineer. Funeral service will be conducted noon Thursday at Ohio Furnace Enterprise Baptist Church, Ohio Furnace, with Brother Gary Arthurs officiating. Burial will follow in Buckeye Cemetery, Ohio Furnace. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon Thursday at the church. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville is in charge of arrangements. Ronnie Lee Cremeans, 46, of South Point, died Monday, May 25, 2015, at home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Visitation is one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Alice Taylor

Alice E. Taylor, 79, of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 23, 2015, at OSU Medical Center, Columbus. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Slab Fork Cemetery with Brother Henry Hatfield officiating.
