Michigan men admit heroin trafficking

Two Michigan men pleaded guilty to reduced drug trafficking charges Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.

Dwight J. Torry, 37, of 14602 Fordham St., Detroit, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of trafficking in heroin. The indictment was amended from counts of one fourth and two third-degree counts of trafficking in heroin, as well as a fifth-degree count of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drugs.

Nathaniel Clark, 26, of 13126 Prospect, Warren, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of complicity to trafficking in drugs. His indictment was amended from three charges of complicity to trafficking in heroin and complicity to possession of a controlled substance and possession of drugs.

Judge D. Scott Bowling set sentencing for each man on Sept. 16. Bond was set at $10,000 own-recognizance.

In other cases:

• Two Proctorville teens who were arrested in April after Fairland school officials found alleged threatening material on Instagram waived their right to a speedy trial.

John Pacinhik and Samuel Patrick, both 18, and both with addresses listed as 179 Township Road 1233, were each charged with a second-degree felony count of complicity to inducing panic and inducing panic, respectively.

Pacinhik was additionally charged with a fourth-degree count of trafficking in marijuana.

• Lucy Parker, 54, of 52 Hobart Road, Lucasville, was arraigned on counts of fifth-degree possession of drugs and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, to which he pleaded guilty.

Bowling set bond at $10,000 OR and ordered a presentence investigation. Sentencing was set for June 17.

• Wendy Trogdon, 23, of 14611 State Route 7, Proctorville, admitted community control sanctions violations and was sentenced to six months of inpatient drug counseling.

• Gary Johnson, 42, of 2220 Artisan Ave., Huntington, pleaded guilty to counts of fourth-degree receiving stolen property, fifth-degree possession of drugs and misdemeanor OVI and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Nicholas Roman, 33, of 832 County Road 15, South Point, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to 10 months in prison.

• Jacob Wilkinson, 33, of Dunlow, West Virginia, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to 10 months in prison.

• Bradley King, 27, of Ash Street in Proctorville, and Briann Evans, 26, of 10 Private Drive 15, South Point, were each sentenced to six months in jail, suspended, 200 hours community service and $670 restitution. Both previously pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of theft.
