Kathy Webb

Kathy Renee (Meadows) Webb, 59, of Lesage, West Virginia, died Monday, June 15, 2015, at her home after a courageous and hard fought battle against lung and brain cancer. Her hands were held and her cheeks kissed by her husband and her sister as she passed from this life. Kathy was born Jan. 11, 1956, in Huntington, the first baby girl born in the “new” Cabell Huntington Hospital.

She leaves behind her husband, Robert E. Webb (originally from Ironton); a very special son, Mark A. Webb and his wife Kristen Webb of Huntington; her loving mother, Pat Meadows; and her precious “baby” sister, Lisa Reynolds and her husband David Reynolds, all from Lesage.

Kathy (“Aunt Tasi”) is also survived by two nephews and a niece whom she loved, cared for and treated as if they were her own and who loved her equally in return, Brad Chapman of Tampa Florida, Adam Reynolds and wife Lori and their children Cole and Cami from Barboursville, West Virginia, and Whitney McGuire and husband Ryan and their children Ava, Emelia and Noah also from Tampa.

Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved daddy and staunchest supporter, Roy J. Meadows; her father- and mother-in-law, Marcus and Jean Webb of Ironton, who loved her like a daughter; maternal grandparents, Ola and Elbert Winters; and paternal grandparents, Lura and Roy Meadows Sr.

Kathy graduated from Barboursville High School (‘74) and Huntington School of Business. She was a valued and highly thought of dedicated employee at McCorkle Machine and Engineering in Huntington for over 25 years. She liked and respected all who worked there, especially her fellow office worker and loving friend, Jean Riggio.

A special thank you to her loving and caring neighbor Juanita Lawhon and to Heida Hatfield, RN, and Brenda Damron, CAN, from Cabell Huntington Hospital Home Health Department, who gave her such loving and tender care. Kathy was a genuinely nice, caring person, who never said an unkind or mean word about anyone. She was loved greatly and will be greatly missed.

Charlotte Riedel

Charlotte Quast Riedel, 74, of Ironton, went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2015, at Jo-Lin Health Center, Ironton. She was born to the late Albert and Herta Quast in Alt Elf, Bessarabia Romania in 1940 and grew up in Jagstsfield, Germany. She married a handsome GI, the love of her life, Larry Lee Riedel, whom she met in Giebelstadt, Germany and married on Oct. 3, 1959. She went to clerical school and later worked at a car dealership in Germany. Charlotte came to the U.S. with her husband in 1959, where she took classes and received her U.S. Citizenship in 1970. Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a member of Sedgewick Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lee Riedel; two sons, Larry Lee and Carl Albert Riedel; a sister, Gertrude Mueller; and a brother, Werner Quast of Germany.

She is survived by two daughters, Garnie Riedel-Webb (Rob) and Mary Ann Tussey (Leslie) of Ironton; two granddaughters, Jenni May (Jason and Baby May) of Lexington, Kentucky and Bobbi Tussey of Ironton.

Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family with pastor and friend the Rev. Willard Metz officiating and Betty Metz providing music. Earl Daniels

Earl Loren Daniels, 70, of Proctorville, died Monday, June 15, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived his by wife, Jewell Daniels. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Proctorville. Minnie Kaiser

Minnie Lou Edwards Burcham Kaiser, 86, of Chesapeake, died Sunday, June 14, 2015, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday at Rome Church of Christ by Minister Brad Poe. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Donna Kiser

Donna Kay Pemberton Kiser, 66, of Ohio Furnace, where she lived for over 35 years, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Chesapeake native was born June 1, 1949, the daughter of the late Max and Louise Jenkins Pemberton. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Kiser, whom she married Sept. 8, 1979.

Mrs. Kiser was a graduate of South Point High School and of a beautician school. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Chesapeake and enjoyed quilting, reading and crafting.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Ron (Sheila) Pemberton and Joe (Tammy) Pemberton, both of Chesapeake.

She is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in law and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be noon Friday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with pastor Tom Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Junior Furnace Cemetery and visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Harry Long Spears, 92, of Proctorville died Saturday, June 13, 2015. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by pastor Jason Morris. Doris Hedrick

Doris Aileen Hedrick, 86, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Monday, June 15, 2015, in Maysville, Kentucky. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, is in charge of arrangements. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
