David Keller
David Michael Keller, 71, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015, at his home. David was born Sept. 24, 1943, in Ironton, to the late Stanley and Ruth Turvey Keller. David worked as a supervisor at Armco AK Steel. He retired from Keller Construction. He was a Vietnam Navy veteran and was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Suzie Layne Keller, whom he married April 16, 1983 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two sons, Matt Dierken and Jamie Keller; two daughters, Hilary Keller and Hayley Keller Grant (Ruairi); a sister, Katie Keller Fisher; two aunts, Hilda Sekerak and June Smith, and his three dogs, Sugar, Tucker and Tyson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Pastor Bernard Tilley, the Rev. Aaron Layne, and pastor Chris Kitts will be officiating with burial to follow in Haverhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour before the service on Thursday.
Ruth Wheeler
Ruth M. Wheeler, 94, of Ironton, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Ironton native was born April 6, 1921, the daughter of the late John Patrick Healy and Laura Powell Healy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Eugene Wheeler.
Mrs. Wheeler was a 1939 graduate of St. Joseph High School and was a lifelong member of the St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Ironton. She was a former legal secretary for the Craig Allen Law Offices for more than 20 years.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Ann Wheeler; a son, David Wheeler; four brothers, Charles Healy, Clifford Healy, James Healy and Francis Healy; and daughter-in-law, Linda Wheeler.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Wheeler of Flatwoods, Kentucky, Philip and Kaye Wheeler of Scottsdale, Arizona, Paul and Rhonda Wheeler of Ironton, and Mark and Sharon Wheeler of Fargo, North Dakota; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren
Funeral Mass will be 1 p.m. Thursday at St.Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Ironton with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The Wheeler family will receive friends Thursday from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church, 905 S. Ruby Lowe
Ruby Lowe, 87, of South Point, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 28, 2015. Ruby was born July 14, 1927, in Lawrence County, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Grace Wilson Bradley. She was a homemaker and attended Sybene Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Everett Rigney; her second husband, Richard Lowe; six sisters; and four brothers. Ruby is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Mike) Campbell and Kathy (Roger) Friend; three grandchildren; seven grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren two sisters, Ruth Frye and Wilma Cates; and four brothers, Lloyd, David, Bobby and Garland Bradley. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Burial will follow in Highlands Memorial Gardens, South Point. Tammy Watson
Tammy Watson, 50, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington. The Ironton native was born Nov. 1, 1964, a daughter of Larry Messenger and Carolyn Smith Spears. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Watson. Tammy attended Ironton City Schools, was of the Baptist faith, and a member of the Moose Lodge.
In addition to her husband, Tammy was preceded in death by a son, Robert Cody Williams.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Karlie Watson; sister, Tina (Darrell) Schwab; sister, Dreama (Jay) Wilder; sister, Charla (Steve) Nelson; brother, Justin Spears; brother, Robert (Tricia) Messenger; brother, Larry Messenger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frances Forth Bowen, 86, of Barboursville, West Virginia, died Saturday, June 27, 2015, at home.
