Flooding keeps roads closed

The following roads are closed to traffic due to high water:

State Route 378 in Lawrence County at the 1-mile marker, between State Route 243 and County Road 61 (Drift Creek Road);

State Route 141 in Lawrence County has been closed near the 13-mile marker;

State Route 378 in the community of Aid;

State Route 218 at the 2.4-mile marker and Gallia County line;

State Route 217 between the 5.9 and the 6.5-mile markers, in the Joshua Hole area and the intersections of State Route 378;

State Route 650 between the. 6.0 and the 7.0-mile markers near C.R. 43 (Kelley’s Mill Road;

State Route 650 at the 9.0-mile marker at State Route 522; and

State Route 141 between the 19.0 and the 22.9-mile markers in the Waterloo area, between T.R. 110 (Zalmon Road) and T.R. 197 (Coffee Tea Road) and at the Gallia County line.

These closures are in effect until further notice, and motorists will need to seek alternate routes They are advised that crossing any route which has been closed is strictly prohibited and to use additional caution when traveling over any route which remains open but where standing water may be present.
