PINE GROVE — The Ironton Country Club’s Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association found its own rays of sunshine.

Despite cloudy skies, nothing could keep the shine off the group’s weekly golf outing.

After a brief business meeting, the group hit the cart paths and competed in the events of the day established by hostess Connie Chamberlin.

Following the golfing events the group had lunch and Chamberlin announced the winners.

Hostess: Connie Chamberlin.

Events winners: Pat Lambert, Betty Fraley, Joyce Lewis.

Next week’s hostess: Rose Auble.

The handicap tournament has been completed. However, the ringer tournament remains in progress.

The group meets at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays for a brief business meeting before hitting the links at 9:30. New members are always welcome.
