Ronald Murray

Ronald Lee Murray, 66, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. The Franklin Furnace native was born May 5, 1949, a son of the late Thomas Murray an Opal Hay Murray. He is survived by his loving wife, Lois Kiser Murray, whom he married Nov. 15, 1969.

Ronald was a graduate of Green Township High School. He served 12 years in the United States Army Reserve and retired from AK Steel after 36 years. He loved farming, fishing, hunting and working on cars and heavy equipment. He was well known for his love of telling stories.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Robert Thomas “Bud” Murray; and brother, Donald Murray.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ronald Jason (Kelley Martin) Murray, of Franklin Furnace and Michael Joe (Terra) Murray, of Wheelersburg; four grandchildren, Madyson Murray, Baylen Haywood, both of Wheelersburg, Dakota Martin and Clayton Martin, both of Franklin Furnace; two sisters, Carol Potter of Ashland, Kentucky and Joann Richter of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; niece and nephew, Darren and Mandy Murray, of Franklin Furnace; and several other nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, with pastor Gary Arthurs officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial on Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. William Musser

William D. (Sonny) Musser, 83, of Proctorville, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Peters Musser. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with pastor Ron Musser officiating. Burial will follow at Rome Cemetery. Reable Copley

Reable J. Keeton Copley, 71, of Flatwoods, Kentucky, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle in Flatwoods with pastor Lloyd L. Bailey and the Rev. J.E. Smith officiating. A private committal service will be at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods. William Malone

William J. (Red Dog) Malone, 64, of Ironton, died Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. Arrangements are pending O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home.
