Mary Bryant

Mary Ellen Johnson Bryant, 69, died on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Ironton. She was born Feb. 19, 1946, to the late Asa and Catherine Hurst Johnson. She was the widow of Fred Bryant. She worked for the Ohio Jobs and Family Services. She was a member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church.

She is survived by two sons, Greg and Lora Bryant, of Ironton, and Jeff and Karrie Bryant, of Ashland, Kentucky; grandchildren, Caleb Blackburn, Cody Blackburn, Chelsea Blackburn, Jacob Bryant, Joshua Bryant, Kaylee Bryant, Maddox Bryant, Colton Crisp, Gracie Crisp, Michael and Josie Scythes, Jessica Moore and great-grandchildren, Karsyn Ball and Kynslie Moore; brothers, Paul Johnson, of South Bloomfield, and Al (Butch) Johnson, of Haverhill; and sister, Sandy and Jack Wheaton, of Jackson, Michigan; dear friend, Penny Cheek; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister, Anne Riley.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Ironton, with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Pine Grove.

Goldie Keeton Payne Triplett, 76, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, at home. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, Kentucky.
