The second suspect in an Ironton bank break-in was arrested on Tuesday.
Ironton Police Detective Joe Ross said the Russell Police Department arrested Austin Sexton, 20, of Ironton, around noon.
Sexton is a suspect in the Saturday morning break-in of WesBanco on South Fifth and Vernon streets in Ironton.
Sexton will have an extradition hearing, which has not yet been set, before being transferred to Ironton.
“As soon as he waives his extradition I will go pick him up,” Ross said.
Sexton will then be arraigned in Ironton Municipal Court.
Richard Fooce, 22, 802 S. Sixth St., Ironton, was arrested Monday in connection with the break-in. He was arraigned and bond was set at $25,000.
Investigators don’t believe any money was taken from the bank, but the branch was ransacked.
“I again, want to thank the public,” Ross said. “They were found through social media. That seems to be the law enforcement of the future. This isn’t the first time they (the public) have found suspects for us like this. I appreciate their help and hope they will help us in the future.”
