ASHLAND, Ky. — The Board of Directors for the Paramount Arts Center announced that Norma Meek will serve as executive director of the historical performing arts center. Meek has been the interim director since November 2014.

“I’m delighted to be able stay at the Paramount and continue what the staff and I have already put in motion. The Paramount is fortunate to have an amazing, hard-working staff, and I am thrilled to be part of an exciting new season,” Meek said.

Since her time with the Paramount, Meek has worked closely with the board of directors and together they launched a new season, created a first-ever fundraising event, “The Lip Sync Battle,” and are finding various opportunities for grants and other funding to help grow the youth education program, as well as create performing art events that excite the community.
