Edith Chaney

April 22, 1933 –– Sept. 12, 2015

Edith Isabella Chaney, 82, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at Community Hospice, Ashland, Kentucky. Mrs. Chaney was born April 22, 1933, in Bonzo, Italy, a daughter to the late Giufeppe and Rosa Lugghofer Pichler. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, George Chaney, whom she married Sept. 21, 1957. Mrs. Chaney was a retired cashier for Big Lots. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling and gardening and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Olga Pichler. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters:, Donna (John) Miller, of Grove City and Ziva Houston, of Ironton; son, Zoltan (Paula) Chaney, of Jupiter, Florida; three grandsons, Ryan Miller, of Grove City, Spenser (Caitlin) Miller, of Bellefontaine and Tyler Houston, of Cincinnati; and granddaughter, Emily Houston, of Ironton.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with Brother Chad Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be Friday at 11 a.m. until time of the service. To offer the family online condolences, please visit www.tracybrammerfh.com.

 

 Danita Dehart

Danita  Dehart, 60, of Proctorville, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington.  She is survived by her husband, Jack Dehart.  Bernard Chapman

Bernard “Bud” Allen Chapman, 89, of Proctorville, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at Wyngate at RiversEdge Senior Living Community, Proctorville.  He is survived by his wife, Maida Russell Chapman.

Christy L. Watts Thompson, 40, of Huntington, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at her residence. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Burial will follow in Beckner-Wilkes Cemetery, Lavalette, West Virginia.

John Anderson Shope, Sr., 58, of Deshler,died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at the VA Medical Center, Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with the Rev. Jerry Kellogg officiating.  Graveside services with military honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.  Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
