WHEELERSBURG — It was yet another thriller for the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ tennis team.

Playing with one senior, Ironton lost 3-2 to the senior-laden Wheelersburg Lady Pirates on Tuesday.

Wheelersburg had six seniors among their seven players.

Ironton No. 1 singles player Aleigha Justice won her match and finished the regular season 10-0.

Also winning for the Lady Fighting Tigers was No. 1 doubles team Holly Bruce and Sophia Caines.

Ironton will now play in the sectional tournament on Tuesday at Portsmouth. The sectional features 50 singles players and 32 doubles teams.
