VINCENT — Maccoy Brown left the Warren Warriors feeling blue.

The Chesapeake Panthers’ senior fullback ran 16 times for 237 yards and three touchdowns in a 54-6 spanking of the Warriors on Saturday night.

The Panthers (4-1) bounced back from last week’s 27-21 overtime loss to Rock Hill by racking up 412 yards rushing and 452 total yards en route to the win.

“We played well. We executed well,” said Panthers’ coach Andy Clark.

“We came out and jumped on them early. We got back to the fundamentals we didn’t do well last week. The kids played hard tonight and our line played physical up front. They practiced well this week and it showed.”

Ty Wilcoxon added 60 yards on three carries for the Panthers, J.W. Bartrum 34 yards on six tries and quarterback Casey McComas ran three times for 32 yards and a score while hit 1-of-2 passes for 40 yards and a touchdown to Austin Browning.

Chesapeake’s defense held Warren to 172 total yards and the only touchdown was a 24-yard pass to Will Young as time expired.

McComas scored on an 8-yard run with 7:16 left in the first quarter and Wesley Stephens kicked the first of six straight conversion to make it 7-0.

Brown then ripped off a 70-yard touchdown run less than two minutes later and the lead was 14-0.

The Panthers scored quickly again as Bartrum went 5 yards for a touchdown at the 10:45 mark and then linebacker Brad Meadows returned an interception 25 yards for a score 17 seconds later and it was 28-0.

But the Panthers weren’t finished.

Brown bolted 65 yards for a touchdown at the 4:42 mark and it was 35-0.

McComas then hit Browning with the 40-yard pass play and it was 42-0 with just 1:24 left in the first half.

Brown tacked on a 9-yard scoring run with 1:18 to go in the third quarter for a 48-0 lead.

Backup Jordan Miller went 2 yards for a touchdown with 5:19 to play that capped the Chesapeake scoring.

The Panthers host South Point on Friday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
