Bethany Holbrook

Dec. 10, 1943 –– Sept. 26, 2015

Bethany D. Holbrook, 71, of Kitts Hill, passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Ashland, native was born Dec. 10, 1943, the daughter of the late Albert and Louise Fain Arthur. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dallas E. Holbrook.

Bethany attended Paul Blazer High School in Ashland, was a homemaker and attended Sheridan Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to be with and take care of her family and was always there for them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Blanton and Faye Holbrook; a brother, Harold Arthur; a sister-in-law, Patricia Galyen; three brothers-in-law, John Patrick, Jack Gentry and Richard Riffitt.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sisters, Lorraine Patrick, of Franklin Furnace, Gereline Riffitt, of Wheelersburg, Wilma (Bill) Castle, of Ashland, and Daphne (Tim Holbrook) Gentry, of Kitts Hill; a brother, Tony (Darlene) Arthur, of Ashland; sister-in-law Sharon Howard, of Gallipolis; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Randy Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Haverhill Cemetery and visitation will be Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

 

 Margaret Duff

Margaret Ruth Duff, 80 of Daniels, West Virginia, died Sept. 27, 2015, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, West Virginia. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Duff. Funeral services will be at Carman Funeral Home Thursday at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.  Bethany Bibb

Bethany Catherine Bibb, 21, of Ironton, died Wednesday at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at New Jerusalem Christian Center, Ironton.  Linda Rowe

Oct. 20, 1942—Sept. 27, 2015

Linda (Kay) Rowe, 72, of Ironton, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015. She was born Oct. 20, 1942, in Lawrence County, the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Large Bishop. She was a member of New Valley Missionary Baptist Church, she worked as an executive secretary at Ashland Oil and for Addington Coal Company. She is survived by her husband, George Rowe; two daughters, Darbie and (Mark) Dewitz, Dara Rowe; and one son, Derek and (Amy) Rowe. Grandchildren include Kyle, Malia, Braylen, and Maddox, all of Ironton. She was preceded by two brothers, Ray Bishop and Dr. Jay Bishop. Private services will be on Thursday with Larry Comer officiating at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home.
