HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Ambulances and police cars and fire trucks, oh my! The Junior League of Huntington will host its third annual Touch-a-Truck eventfrom 10:30 a.m-2:30 p.m. Saturday at the St. Mary’s Center for Education in Huntington.
At Touch-a-Truck, families can get an up close and personal look at vehicles such as a stretch limo, a helicopter, and a FedEx truck, among many others. Attendees will be allowed to touch their favorite vehicles, get behind the wheels, honk horns and meet the people who help build, protect and serve the community. Inflatables, food, games and other activities will also be available to make this a wonderful event for the entire family.
“Touch-a-Truck is always a really fun day,” said Kristi Henson, who is co-chairing Touch-a-Truck with Tiffany Clark. “It’s always so much fun watching the kids running around, honking horns and sitting in the drivers’ seats of all of these big trucks. It’s a great event that can be enjoyed by the whole family.”
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the event or online at www.jlofhuntington.org. Proceeds go to helping the Junior League of Huntington, a women’s service organization, with its community impact project, helping alleviate hunger in the community.
