Ironton playoff tix

on sale Wednesday

Ticket pre-sale for the Ironton Fighting Tigers’ playoff game will be at the high school during school hours starting Wednesday.

Tickets are $8 each as set by the OHSAA. Ironton only receives 25 percent of ticket presale. All money at the gate goes to the OHSAA. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.

Tickets are $9 at the gate.

Ironton plays at Wheelersburg on Friday starting at 7:30 p.m.

 

Rock Hill playoff tix

Ticket pre-sale for the Rock Hill Redmen playoff game will be at the high school during school hours starting Wednesday.

Tickets are $8 each as set by the OHSAA. Rock Hill only receives 25 percent of ticket presale. All money at the gate goes to the OHSAA. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.

Tickets are $9 at the gate.

Rock Hill plays at Albany Alexander at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

 

Panthers’ playoff tix

on sale Thursday

Ticket pre-sale for the Chesapeake Panthers’ playoff game will be at the high school during school hours starting Thursday.

Tickets are $8 each as set by the OHSAA. Chesapeake only receives 25 percent of ticket presale. All money at the gate goes to the OHSAA. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.

Tickets are $9 at the gate.

Chesapeake plays at Lucasville Valley at 7 p.m. Saturday.

 

IHS team plans K-2

instructional league

The Ironton Fighting Tigers’ basketball team will conduct a K-2 grades instructional basketball league for boys and girls.

Registration will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Ironton City Center.

Fee is $25 for the first child and $10 for each additional sibling.

Games will be held at the high school gymnasium. The league will incorporate individual instruction and game competition.

League director is Mark LaFon, Ironton head basketball coach and athletic director.

 

IRD sets basketball registration dates

The Ironton Recreation Department will be conducting youth basketball registrations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Ironton City Center.

Registrations is for youths in grades 3-6. Fee is $30 for a youth and $50 for a family.

 

EKFC travel soccer tryouts scheduled

The EKFC Club will be having tryouts for all boys and girls ages U8-U18 for the 2016 spring season.

Tryout times, dates and locations are:

BOYD COUNTY SOCCER FIELDS (14375 Lions Lane, Ashland, KY 41102, next to the new high school), Nov. 7 U8-U12 boys and girls from 10 a.m. to noon and U13-U18 boys and girls from 1-3 p.m.

In case of rain, make-up date is Nov. 8.

GREENUP COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL FIELDS (196 Musketeer Dr, Greenup, KY 41144), Nov. 14: U10-U18 boys and girls from 1-3 p.m.

All youths should wear cleats and shin guards.

FBC Faith & Fitness group instructions

The Faith and Fitness Center of the First Baptist Church in Ironton will be doing small group basketball instructions for grades 2-6.

Instruction sessions will be from 5-6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursday for the months of November, December and January.

Reds’ tours

Cincinnati Reds’ clubhouse tours are from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays through March 19.

Admission for the general public is $34 adults, seniors 60 and older $30, students including those with a college ID is $30, kids ages 5-12 $20 and kids under 5 are free.

Museum member admission is $34 adults, $22 for seniors, $22 for students, $12 for kids 5-12 and kids under 5 free.
