Mary Dennin

Aug. 26, 1927 — Nov. 11, 2015

Mary Ruth Dennin, 88, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, at a local nursing facility. Mrs. Dennin was born Aug. 26, 1927, a daughter to the late Albert “Dick” Schwab and Elsie Lambert Schwab. She was preceded in death in December 18, 2002, by her husband Averill Dennin, whom she married July 14, 1945.

Mrs. Dennin was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant Schools and a member of the Coal Grove Church of the Nazarene. She was a homemaker and very proud to have the finest sons and daughter that a mother could ask for. She had a great love for cooking and making candy and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by three sons, Averill Richard (Carol) Dennin of Jackson, Tennessee, John (Ruth) Dennin of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Paul (Kathy) Dennin of South Point; a daughter, Bonne Malone of Huntington; four granddaughters, Andrea (Shawn) Quinn, Alicia (Bryce) Walters, Jennifer (Tommy) Richards, Missy (Guye) Allen; and five great-grandchildren, Mairin Walters, Graham Walters, Megan Dennin, Zachry Richards and Aaron Richards.

Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Coal Grove Church of the Nazarene with Dr. Kevin Willis and pastor Brian Taylor officiating. James Valentino Russell, 31, of Ironton, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2015. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home with Brother Dave Schug officiating.
