St. Joseph parents’ meeting Monday

The St. Joseph High School and Junior High School meeting concerning OHSAA rules and regulations will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday in the St. Joseph Church undercroft.

Parents of students playing winter sports must attend.

OVC cage previews at Chesapeake

The Ohio Valley Conference boys’ basketball preview will be Friday at Chesapeake High School.

Here is the schedule:

5 p.m. Rock Hill vs. Fairland; 6:00 Gallipolis vs. Portsmouth; 7:00 Ironton vs. South Point; 8:00 Coal Grove vs. Chesapeake.

The visiting team is listed first and should wear dark uniforms.

Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for students.

 

Special Needs deer hunting, banquet

Special Needs Youth Sportsmen Inc. will conduct its annual deer hunting event and banquet for interested on Friday, Nov. 20, and Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Collins Career and Technical Center at Getaway.

Friday afternon activities include shooting range practice and safety education. Actual hunting will take place all day Saturday during the Ohio youth deer hunting special season.

The free banquet for all will be held on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

A youth hunting license and deer permit are required and all Ohio hunting regulations will be strictly followed.

All equipment and materials will be furnished for all participants.

FBC Faith & Fitness group instructions

The Faith and Fitness Center of the First Baptist Church in Ironton will be doing small group basketball instructions for grades 2-6.

Instruction sessions will be from 5-6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursday for the months of November, December and January.

Reds’ tours

Cincinnati Reds’ clubhouse tours are from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays through March 19.

Admission for the general public is $34 adults, seniors 60 and older $30, students including those with a college ID is $30, kids ages 5-12 $20 and kids under 5 are free.

Museum member admission is $34 adults, $22 for seniors, $22 for students, $12 for kids 5-12 and kids under 5 free.
