PROCTORVILLE — Those who have lost loved ones are invited attend a holiday memorial service in Proctorville.

Hall Funeral Home will host its “Tree of Life” service at 6 p.m. on Dec. 4, Erica Hall-Workman, who owns the funeral home along with her brothers, said.

The service is free and open to the public. Hall-Workman said the service is not limited to just those in Proctorville, and they have families from as far away as Florida who take part in the annual event.

“Everyone is welcome to bring an ornament,” she said.

During the service, the names of those who have died will be read off, at which point the family or friends of the deceased are asked to come forward and hang an ornament on the tree in their memory.
