Man arrested for making threat against OUS

The Ironton Police Department has arrested a man who allegedly threatened students at Ohio University Southern.

According to Detective Joe Ross, the university was notified around noon today that a man, identified as Ruben Henninge, 27, of Ironton, posted in a chat room that “OU students are about to get killed.”

Henninge was arrested around 2:15 p.m. this afternoon, said Ross.

He was charged with making terroristic threats and will be arraigned Thursday in Ironton Municipal Court.

Ross said the man is not a student at OUS nor a member of staff.
