Proctorville man arrested in gas station robberies

HUNTINGTON. W.Va. — A Proctorville man has been arrested in connection with three convenience store robberies in West Virginia.

Brandon Blake Spencer, 33, of Proctorville, was arrested by Huntington police early Wednesday morning in Guyandotte, West Vriginia.

He is wanted in connection with the armed robberies of three Huntington convenience stores on Tuesday — the 28th Street Speedway in the Highlawn area and the Marathon and Rich stations in Guyandotte.

Spencer was charged with three counts of armed robbery and being a fugitive from justice in Ohio.

He was taken to the Western Regional Jail and faces a $150,000 bond.

Spencer was indicted by a Lawrence County grand jury in August 2013 for felonious assault, assault, two counts of endangering children and criminal damaging.
