DECATUR TOWNSHIP — The Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning and Engineering Department is seeking public input on the following bridge replacement project in Lawrence County.

LAW-93-15.39 (PID: 10379) – It is proposed to replace two structures over a tributary of Pine Creek on State Route 93 in Decatur Township. The first structure is a single-span, reinforced concrete slab, and the new structure will be a precast, reinforced concrete four-sided culvert with concrete wing walls and footings. The second structure is a 60-inch corrugated metal pipe culvert, which will be replaced with a precast, reinforced concrete four-sided culvert. Approximately 0.493 acres of permanent right of way will be required for construction; however, no homes or businesses will be removed as a result of the project.

The project is expected to be awarded in the spring of 2017, and a road closure may be necessary in order to complete construction. Additional information regarding the proposed project, including a complete description, maps and plans sheets, is available online at http://www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D09/Pages/Public-Involvement-Process.aspx.
