Margaret Massie

May 10, 1944—Dec. 20, 2015

Margaret J. Massie, 71, of Kitts Hill, passed away Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at her residence. The Forestdale native was born May 10, 1944, a daughter of the late Earl R. and Dorothy Sites Shearer. She was a graduate of Coal Grove High School, and a member of Sharon Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Charles T. “Butch” Massie.

She is survived by sons, Charles Alan (Fonda Carter) Massie of Coal Grove, Thomas Andrew (Kim) Massie of Ashland, Jeffrey Todd (Regina) Massie of Kitts Hill and Steven Roy (Sheena) Massie of Clayton, North Caroline; daughter, Lisa Jane (Jeff) Wilhelm of Kitts Hill; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home with Brother Rock Massie officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of the service, with burial at Mamre Cemetery. Maggie Davis

Feb. 27, 1944—Dec. 19, 2015

Maggie Miller Davis, 71, of Ironton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at King’s Daughter’s Medical Center. The Lawrence County native was born Feb. 27, 1944, a daughter of the late Harvey and Anna Woods Bloomfield, granddaughter of Sylvester and Cora Bloomfield and John and Ruth Woods.  Maggie was a graduate of Decatur Washington High School. She was previously employed with AK Steel and Wilson Sporting Goods, and was a member of Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church, and attended House of Grace in Ashland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Miller; son, Brian Miller; brothers, Wendell, Sherman, and Arnold Bloomfield; infant brothers, David, Harvey, and Joseph Bloomfield; and sister: Virginia Blevins.

She is survived by husband, Darrell E. Davis; sons, George (Alla) Miller, David (Sarah) Miller, Darrell (Sandy) Davis; daughters, Angie (Jack) DeAutremont, Lena (Randy) Dawson; grandchildren, Zachary (Cindi) Mullins, Samantha (Rodney) Bostic, Zachery (Courtney) Nelson, Jazel (Eli) Kitchen, Jacob (Mikki) Miller, Dawn Marie Miller and Sara Miller; great grandchildren,Mason Allen Bostic, Felix Miller and Elaina Kitchen; brothers, Virgil (Martha) Bloomfield, Clyde (Alice) Bloomfield and Jim Bloomfield; sister, Rita (Dale) Waugh; and many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Long officiating.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of the service, with burial in Rehobeth Cemetery. Amy Wells

Amy Evelyn Wells, 63, of Ashland, died on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at her residence. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, Kentucky with pastor Mike Moore and Brother Jim Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Dixon Cemetery in Ashland.
