Girl’s dedication is inspiring

In life, we often find that something we take an interest in at an early age can set our future in motion. For 10-year-old Isabelle Jenkins, she is allowing that future goal to direct her present.
With her love of animals, she wants to be a vet when she gets older. But Isabelle is showing us at an early age that this is something she is truly passionate about. She recently asked for donations at her birthday party and was able to raise $84 to purchase food and supplies that were donated to the animal shelter.
We commend Isabelle’s efforts to give back to her community and aspiring to make a difference. Animals are a big part of families, and having love and passion can lead to a rewarding career down the road.
We are a county of people who give freely of their time and resources, and having a young lady at the age of 10 who practices those same qualities shows that we have the right spirit in Lawrence County.
Isabelle and all those who give back to our community are shining lights we should all get behind.
