Car allegedly involved in crash

A second vehicle is allegedly involved in causing a school bus accident on Tuesday, according to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
“The investigation has revealed a dark blue or black Ford Fusion or Focus improperly passed the school bus on State Route 243,” the release states. “As the vehicle passed the bus, a large cloud of white smoke erupted from the vehicle. The smoke instantly created a vision obstruction that covered both lanes of State Route 243.”
At approximately 2:15 p.m. the bus carrying 30 students went into a ditch sending nine students and the driver to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The information on the second vehicle came from eyewitness statements and cameras on board two separate school buses, according to the release. The car did not stop at the scene of the accident. The crash remains under investigatio
