Lions Club announces Murder Mystery Dinner Theater March 4

ASHLAND, Ky. — The Ashland Lions Club is hosting its second murder mystery dinner theater. The event will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, March 4 at the Ashland Transportation Center (99 Fifteenth St.).

Murder at the Museum will be performed by Murder and Merriment, an interactive murder mystery company based in Huntington. All attendees are eligible for door prizes and those who successfully solve the evening’s mystery will be eligible for the grand prize.

The setup for Murder at the Museum is a newly discovered lost Picasso painting will be on the auction block in the midst of a gala party and fundraiser. There are those who will go to great lengths to get their hands on the lost masterpiece.

Last year’s inaugural Lions Club fundraiser attracted more than 100 attendees and raised approximately $7,000. “We were very encouraged by the success of last year’s event and we hope our community comes out to support eyesight needs in Ashland once again,” said Ashland Lions Club President Kandel Cain. “Tickets have been going fast, so I encourage everyone to get theirs soon. It will be a fun evening that supports a great cause.”

Tickets to Murder at the Museum include the show, dinner and a complimentary wine and beer reception that begins at 6 p.m. The murder mystery starts at 7 p.m. Tickets to the Murder at the Museum are $60 a person with proceeds benefiting the Ashland Lions Club’s eyesight program. The club provides eye glasses and eye exams in Ashland to those in need.
