Ironton Little League

sets registration dates

The Ironton Little League will be conducting registration for boys’ and girls’ leagues aged 4-and-up for the upcoming baseball and softball seasons.

Registrations will be on the following dates, times and locations:

Saturday, Jan. 30, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Ironton Middle School; Thursday, Feb. 11, 4:30-to-7:30 p.m. at the Ironton Middle School; Thursday, Feb. 25, 5-to-8 p.m. at Wendy’s, Fourth and Center Streets.

Registrants’ will be required to provide proof of age (birth certificate) and three proof of residency if the child does not attend a school within league boundaries.

Other dates of interest:

March 5 tryouts for minor league and above); March 7 make-up tryouts; March 8 draft (minor league and above); March 12 practices begin; April 9 Opening Day.

The South Point Little League will conduct registrations on Thursdays, Feb. 4 and 18, at South Point Giovanni’s Pizza.

Not only will registrations for boys’ and girls’ baseball and softball be conducted, Giovanni’s will donate a portion of the sales each day to the little league.

 

 

Youth AAU basketball

tournament March 11-13

An AAU basketball tournament will be held Friday through Sunday, March 11-13, at South Point High School for boys and girls in grades 3-11.
