Rock Hill teacher under investigation

A Rock Hill High School teacher is the focus of an ongoing investigation following staff discovering the teacher and a 17-year-old student allegedly engaged in what is being termed “suspicious and inappropriate activity.”

“The employee has been placed on administrative leave and reports have been filed with the Lawrence County Children’s Services, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department and the Ohio Department of Education,” according to a release from the school district.

Lawrence County Prosecuting Attorney Brigham Anderson is aware of the investigation and interviews that have been conducted. Currently no criminal charges have been filed.

“The names of the involved parties will not be released at this time, due to no filing of criminal charges,” according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
