Strickland to make stop at Ro-Na

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Ted Strickland will appear on Friday at the Ro-Na Theater in Ironton for reception and fundraiser.

Strickland, who served as the state’s 68th governor from 2007 to 2011 and as a U.S. representative for southern Ohio from 1993 to 1995 and 1997 to 2007, is challenging Republican U.S. Sen. Rob Portman.

Strickland faces a challenger in the Democratic primary from Cincinnati council member P.G. Sittenfield.

The event will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m., is free and open to the public.

Optional donations may be made in the amount of $25 for a guest, $50 for a friend, $100 for a sponsor and $250 for a host.
