Reed Thornton

Reed Isaac Thornton, 5, of Willow Wood, passed on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at the Community Hospice Center in Ashland. The Varna, Bulgaria, native was born June 27, 2010, the son of Douglas Alan and Jacqueline Hardy Thornton of Willow Wood.

Reed attended Mamre Baptist Church with his family.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Charles Norman Hardy; and paternal grandparents, Carl and Betty Thornton.

In addition to his parents, Reed is survived by brother, Jeremy Alan Thornton, of Willow Wood; brother, Nicholas Alan Thornton, of Pittsburgh, California; brother, James Hardy, of Willow Wood;sister, Chelsea Hardy, of Willow Wood; brother, Benjamin Robert Thornton, of Willow Wood; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Hardy, of Kitts Hill; nephew, Riley Alan Thornton, of Willow Wood; and several aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with the Rev. Ryan McKee and the Rev. John Paul Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Aid Cemetery.
