Students competing have already won at their respective schools. The winners of the competition will go on to take part in the state competition in Columbus, Collins principal Jim Howard said.

Students will also demonstrate first aid, speaking skills and take part in an opening and closing completion, he said.

The public is invited to attend the event.

“It’s open to anyone who would like to come out and look around,” Howard said.

Following the competition, which wraps up at noon, an awards ceremony will be at Ironton High School at 2 p.m.
