The Ironton Junior Lady Fighting Tigers’ 8th grade basketball team won the Ohio Valley Conference Middle School regular season and tournament basketball championships this season. Team members are: front row from left to right, Kaitlyn Sheridan, Demi Sands, Taiya Hamlet, Peighton Rowe and Elli Williams; second row from left to right, Lydia Hannan, M’Kenzie McMaster, Mary Beth Burton, Lexie Arden, Faith Hughes and Riley Schreck. The Lady Tigers were 19-0 on the season and have a combined 37-0 record over the past two seasons. The Lady Tigers were the OVC 7th grade regular season and tournament champions last year and the group has also been part of winning the OVC volleyball regular season and tournament championships the past two years as well as the 7th grade track title.
