Rome 4-H elects, installs new officers

ROME TOWNSHIP — The Rome Guys and Gals 4-H Club met on Feb. 12 to elect and install new officers.

The new officers are president Lexi Dunsmore, vice president Elizabeth Barker, secretary Emma Barnette, treasurer Kylie Hayes, assistant treasurer and recreation officer Duncan Jones, news reporter Haley Jenkins and Health and safety officer Emma Barker.

The officers were scheduled for a leadership training meeting, in which they will learn parliamentary procedure.

The members also worked on projects to take on to the Lawrence County Fair in July, and discussed plans for the fair’s 4-H booth and parade.

Twenty members and five Cloverbuds were present. Recreation included Cloverbud games, basketball and a craft center.

Refreshments were provided by Jodi Barker, Jackie Dunsmore, Sue Barnette and Cheyrl Jenkins.
