Daniel Collins

Nov. 29, 1959 — March 1, 2016

Daniel “Danny” L. Collins, 56, of Ironton, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky. He was born Nov. 29, 1959, in Ironton, a son of Orville H. Collins and the late Betty Lou Faulkner Collins. He was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and he restored collector cars.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Sue Burton Collins; sisters, Tammy Collins and Debra (Jerry) Burton, both of Ironton; brothers, Ray (Sheila) Collins, of South Point, Rick Collins, of Rock Hill, Terry (Sherry) Collins, of South Point, and Jeffrey (Ellie) Collins, of South Point; a special niece, Sabrina Rowe, of Ashland, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be noon Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with pastor Jeremy Sherrill officiating. Burial will follow at Zoar Cemetery, Coal Grove. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.

 

Jongkolne Harmon

April 5, 1955 — March 2, 2016

Jongkolne “Jane” Luangon Harmon, 60, of New Albany, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at her residence. Jane was born April 5, 1955 in Cholaura Bangkok, Thailand a daughter to the late Suwan and Orom (Benjamano) Luango. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jay Harmon, whom she married Sept. 15, 1986.

Jane conducted her university studies in Thailand and graduated with a BA in education. She spent years educating elementary school children. She moved to the United States in 1978 to pursue her master’s at New York University. She worked for many years as a real estate entrepreneur. Her interests included figure skating, gardening, reading and spending time with her family. She attended the Church of Resurrection, New Albany.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son and two daughters, Peter Harmon, Christina Harmon and Victoria Harmon.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. To offer the family online condolences, please visit: www.tracybrammerfh.com

 

Ricky Jenkins, Jr.

Ricky Allen Jenkins, Jr., 25, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Monday, Feb. 29, 2016. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller. Burial will follow. April Meyer

April Lee Meyer, 35, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. There will be no services. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, is in charge of arrangements.

 

Annie Thornhill

Annie B. Thornhill, 87, of Charleston, West Virginia, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at home. Funeral service will be conducted at noon Friday at Levi First Missionary Baptist Church, 5125 Church Drive, Rand, West Virginia. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Garden, Glasgow, West Virginia. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the church.
