Illegal conveyance of weapons — South Point Middle School, March 16, students reported to principal that male student had a gun in his locker; gun was an airsoft pistol with tip painted black; juvenile taken to detention center.

Escape — Lawrence County Municipal Court, March 11, female inmate fled from courthouse after shackles were removed; Ashley Huff, 31, of 10916 County Road 1, Chesapeake, apprehended by Chesapeake police and returned to courthouse.

Possession of heroin — County Road 1, Chesapeake, March 11, deputy observed man and woman arguing on side of the road; when the woman began walking away, deputy approached the woman, who was allegedly fidgety and stumbling over her words; woman was allegedly in possession of heroin; Brea Hanshaw, 24, of 2136 County Road 55, Ironton, arrested.

Petty theft — 400 block County Road 123, Chesapeake, March 14, weed eater taken.

Theft — 200 block Township Road 1186, South Point, March 14, tools and suboxone taken from truck.

Burglary — 2300 block County Road 103, Ironton, March 13, Playstation 4 and tablet taken from residence.

Domestic violence — 7400 block County Road 15, Chesapeake, March 12, woman alleged husband assaulted her in front of her children; negative contact with suspect.

Burglary — 1100 block County Road 72, Crown City, March 12, TV, Playstation 3 taken from residence.

Assault, harassment by inmate — Lawrence County Jail, March 12, inmate collapsed during prayer with Jail Ministry; later allegedly became violent and began punching and kicking deputies before ambulance arrived.
