Let’s hit it.

That’s exactly what the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers did on Monday as they got 12 hits en route to a 15-5 five-inning Ohio Valley Conference win over the Fairland Lady Dragons.

Haleigh Rowe and Aley Carmon led the hit parade for Ironton. Rowe had two hits including a home run as she drove in five runs. Carmon — who struck out six and got the win — had three hits and three RBIs.

“We really hit the ball well tonight. Aley Carmon had a nice game both on the mound and at the plate. She was really hitting her spots tonight,” said Ironton coach Missy Fields.

“Haleigh Rowe’s home run was awesome. She cranked one over the left-center fence. She was patient at the plate and had a 1-2 count when she hit the home run.”

Mollie Morris had three hits and Brooke Davis drove in three runs to lead Fairland.

Ironton hosts Greenup County, Ky., on Tuesday and visits Coal Grove on Wednesday.

Fairland is at Portsmouth West on Tuesday and hosts Gallipolis on Wednesday.
