Ironton tennis team tops Portsmouth West

Just call it 40-30.
The Ironton Fighting Tigers’ tennis team improved to 4-3 after a hard-fought win over the Portsmouth West Senators on Tuesday.
No. 1 singles player Mitchell Weisgarber and No. 2 singles player Cory Rawlins each picked up wins as did No. 3 player Andrwe McCown.
Ironton’s No. 1 doubles team of Brock Midkiff-Sands and Jaxson Pleasant and No. 2 team of Trevin Dutey and Elena Wilson both lost.
Ironton hosts Portsmouth Clay on Wednesday and entertains Jackson on Friday.
