Stephen Wood

Oct. 26, 1971 — April 11, 2016

Stephen Derik Wood, 44, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Ironton, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016. Derik was born Oct. 26, 1971, in Gallipolis the son of Stephen Philip Wood and Brenda Koster Wood, of Orlando, Florida.

He was a 1989 graduate of Winter Park High School and graduated from Georgia Southern University with his bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation. He was a former employee of Clayton Homes and had worked on the sales side of the housing industry for several years.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by wife, Heather Lewis, of Orlando, Florida; son, Joseph Koster Wood, of Orlando, Florida; stepson, Devin Lewis, of Orlando, Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Donie and Shari Wood; three nephews, Nick, Matt and Chase Wood; and two aunts, Terri Koster and Doris Wood.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Patricia Koster and Don Koster; paternal grandparents, Dr. Vernon and Lucille Wood; and uncle, Dr. Charlie Wood.

There will be no public services at the funeral home. Friends are asked to meet in Woodland Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday for a graveside service with pastor Steve Harvey officiating. Harold Copley, Sr.

Harold Copley,Sr., 77, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Linda Oiler Copley. N. Kathryn Massie

N. Kathryn “Katie” Massie, 81, of Gallipolis, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Noel F. Massie, of Gallipolis. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Willis Funeral Home with pastor Alvis Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Jerry Freeman

Jerry Lee Freeman, 70, of South Point, died Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, M. Carol Hackworth Freeman. Funeral services will be noon Monday at Phillips Funeral Home and burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point. Visitation is from 11 a.m. Monday until time of service.
