Operations will get under way later this month for a seven-mile, two-lane resurfacing project on state Route 243 in Lawrence County.

Beginning Monday, April 25, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will begin a paving project on State Route 243 that extends from the route’s junction with U.S. Route 52 at Coal Grove to just east of Township Road 117 (Corbin Creek Road).

The project also includes the minor rehabilitation and repair of 10 structures between U.S. 52 and Corbin Creek, and throughout construction, traffic will be maintained by flaggers when crews are at work.
