SCIOTOVILLE — Tayte Carver worked quickly as a pitcher. His teammates just worked over the Sciotoville East pitchers.

Green had 11 hits to back Carver’s four-hit pitching in an 11-1 Southern Ohio Conference game on Monday.

“Tayte Carver pitch a very efficient game on 90 pitches,” said Green coach Dan McDavid.

“We played a solid defensive game and senior Josh Karshner had a big game for us. But we spread it around with a lot of hits up and down the lineup.”

Carver stuck out 11 and walked two as he got complete game win. Karsher went 3-3 with two doubles and a triple.

Green (9-7, 7-0) took a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Tanner Kimbler walked and Karshaner doubled him home. Trevor Carver followed with an RBI single.

The lead went to 7-0 in the third.

Kimbler singled, Tayte Carver reached on an error and Karshner doubled them home. Trevor Carver walked and both moved up on a wild pitch and Hayden Whitis grounded out for the RBI.

After Tyler Johnson singled in a run, Tyler Darnell and Hunter Lewis singled and Andy Chavarria hit into a force play that drove in a run.

A walk, a fielder’s choice and a single by Tyler Winston gave East its only run in the bottom of the third.

A run scored in the fourth when Karshner walked, Trevor Carver was hit by a pitch, Whitis hit into a fielder’s choice and a throwing error on the play scored Karshner.

The lead went to 9-1 in the sixth as Karshner tripled and Trevor Carver hit the sacrifice fly.

Green capped the scoring with two runs in the seventh.

Dakota Martin singled, Dawson Blevins walked, both moved up when Derek Brown grounded out and Tyler Imes came through with a two-run single.

Green visits South Webster on Tuesday and hosts East on Wednesday.
