Possession of drugs abuse instruments, possession of heroin, criminal trespass, petty theft — Wal-Mart, South Point, April 29, man previously banned from store allegedly tried to return stolen items; suspect allegedly in possession of used syringes, spoon, heroin and marijuana; Joseph Cunningham, 38, of 945 Ninth St. W., Huntington, arrested.

Assault, resisting arrest, vandalism, attempted escape, intimidation of public servant, public indecency — A private drive in Chesapeake, April 29, deputy responded to a call of a man allegedly threatening and throwing rocks at neighbors; suspect was allegedly intoxicated and naked; suspect yelled at and attempted to push deputy; suspect was allegedly combative as deputy tried to places handcuffs on him; once suspect was inside cruiser, he allegedly broke the window out and tried to climb out; man allegedly defecated in cruiser; suspect allegedly threatened deputy’s life and spit on him; James Baker, 49, of 61 Private Drive 125, Chesapeake, arrested.

Domestic violence — 600 block County Road 124, Chesapeake, May 1, woman alleged husband was intoxicated and tried to choke her; suspect allegedly shoved woman’s 7-year-old daughter and smacked her in the face; negative contact with suspect.

Petty theft — South Point, May 1, license plate taken from vehicle.

Rape — 700 block Riverside Drive, Huntington, May 2, 8-year-old girl alleged father raped her.

Petty theft — Save A Lot, Chesapeake, May 1, customer allegedly took meat from store without paying; Edward Walker, 65, of 370 Faye Ave., Circleville, arrested.
