PINE GROVE — Mother Nature must not be a member of the Ironton Country Clubs’ Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association.

Rain washed out the outing two weeks ago just as the golf carts headed for the course. The hostess was Dora Carmon.

Last week hostess Sharon Fox sent golfers onto the course to a successful day of competition.

Fox announced winners at the luncheon. Pat Riggs and Pat Lambert each won an event with Georgia Willis and Margaret Donley each won two events.

Friday is Couples Night starting at 6 p.m. Couples should bring an appetizer.

The Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association meets each Tuesday at the Ironton Country Club. A brief business meeting is held at 9:30 a.m. followed by golfing at 10. New members are always welcomed.
