It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Mother, Georgiana Carol Rollyson. She passed away on May 17, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Gainesville, Georgia, surrounded by her family.

Georgiana was born in Ironton to Carrie Dillow Cox and George Allen Cox and was the youngest of four daughters. She was married to Bill Rollyson from 1946 to his passing in 1987. Together they had five children, one of which, Lindy Rollyson Michaels, passed away in 2009.

Georgiana will be remembered for her warm, loving nature and kind heart. Even in her finals weeks and days her sweet smile, sense of humor and tender words brought comfort to those around her.

She was a source of inspiration and hope to us all. Words cannot express the void that has been left with her passing. There is not a day that goes by that we do not think of her and her sweet smile, and gentle nature. Mom, you have left us with precious memories of a loving, wonderful Mother and for that we will always be grateful.

Georgiana is survived by her children, Kathy, Randy, Jannie and Bonnie; as well as her six grandsons, James, Anthony, Miles, Matthew, Michael and Richard; three great-grandchildren, James, Jonathan and Mila with another great-grandson due in October; her sister, Mary Cox Crawford; and her sons-in-law, Jim and Peter, all of whom will forever keep her in their hearts.

Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Memorial Park South Funeral Home, 4121 Falcon Parkway, Flowery Branch, Georgia 30542 is in charge of arrangements. Send on-line condolences to www.memorialparkfuneralhomes.com.
