Greg Goldcamp

Feb. 8, 1948 — May 19, 2016

Greg Goldcamp, 68, formerly of Ironton, died May 19, 2016, in Columbus, following a brief illness. Greg was married to his wife of 25 years, Connie J. Goldcamp.

Greg was born Feb. 8, 1948, and was the son of the late Donald P. Goldcamp and Carol Hickman. In addition to his parents, a brother, Donald P. Goldcamp Jr.; and a sister, Barbara Goldcamp Barker, preceded him in death.

Greg was a graduate of St. Joseph Central Catholic High School in Ironton and Xavier University in Cincinnati. He retired from Lazarus Department Stores and made his home in Columbus.

In addition to his wife Connie, Greg is survived by his stepchildren, Shannon (Terra) Graves and Jenny (John) Protain, of Reno, Nevada; and grandchildren, Jake Thimas, Jaden and Justen Protain and Emma Graves. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret Goldcamp Wilson, of South Point; one brother, Stephen (Angie) Goldcamp, of South Point; sisters, Susan Goldcamp, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Maureen (James) Runyon, of Charleston, West Virginia, and Linda (Richard) Lien, of South Point. His many nieces and nephews also survive Greg. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

Donations are requested to the American Cancer Society. Family will receive friends starting at 10 a.m. Saturday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home in Ironton, followed by a memorial service 11 a.m. with Father David Huffman officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Coal Grove.
