CHESAPEAKE — The academic year ends this week for Chesapeake Elementary students ,and on Thursday, the school hosted an event that gave the community a chance to have some last minute fun.
The school hosted its carnival in the cafeteria, featuring food, games, music and other activities.
Participants had a chance to enter a cakewalk or, they could use their tickets to stick other children in the carnival’s jail for seven minutes.
For $1, they could try their hand at “Peg the Principal,” and test their aim with a dodgeball against Trisha Harris.
Harris said this is the second year for the carnival and that the event is organized by the parent teacher organization and faculty volunteers.
