Ironton offering free youth boys’ basketball camp

Staff Report

The Ironton Fighting Tigers’ boys basketball camp will celebrate its 10th anniversary by offering the camp free of charge.

The camp is for boys entering grades 2-6 as of the fall of 2016. It will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday and Tuesday at Ironton High School.

Two indoor gyms plus outdoor courts will be utilized.

Each camper receives a cold drink each day and features guest speakers from the college and high school level. All phases of the game will be taught.

Every person will be placed on a team for game competition and everyone will participate at least 50 percent of the time in each game.

There will be an awards ceremony at the conclusion of the camp. Youths may register prior to the start of the camp on Monday morning.
