Melissa Farmer

Melissa Dawn Farmer, 32, of Ironton, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016, at her residence. The Ironton native was born April 23, 1984, the daughter of Phillip D. Farmer of Beaver, and Jennie Kaiser Kinstler, of Ironton.

Melissa was a 2003 graduate of Rock Hill High School and was of the Baptist faith. She worked at the Ashland Giovanni’s and was very active with the Boyd County Recovery Resource Center.

She was preceded in death by grandmother, Ethal Janet McFann; and two uncles, Denver Kaiser and Danny Primm.

Melissa is survived by mother, Jennie (Calvin) Kinstler, of Ironton; father, Phillip Farmer, of Beaver; sister, Tonya Farmer, of Ironton; sister, Cassidie Farmer, of Beaver; brother, Chad Farmer, of Beaver; two nieces, Shaylin and Hailee Farmer, both of Ironton; maternal grandmother, Juanita Wheeler, of Ironton; paternal grandfather, Darrell McFann, of Ironton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
